HAT HIRE TERMS & CONDITIONS

We want you to enjoy shopping with us so we don't have many terms and conditions but take a read. This information is important! :)

Our Hat Hire service is only available to customers in the Republic of Ireland.

Our hats remain the property of the studio at all times. The hat hire fee is payable on reservation. The refundable deposit that accompanies each hat hire 0f €100.00 is also payable upon reservation.

We (Mary Quirke Millinery) are not liable for any loss or damage caused as a result of a hat or headpiece not being available due to circumstances outside of our control.

Cancellation Policy: Once a headpiece has been booked, a refund will not be given for the hire fee if the booking is cancelled. However, provided that at least 7 days notice is given before the event date, a credit note will be issued for the fee paid. This which can be used towards another hire by that customer within the following 12 months. This credit is not transferrable.

Once a headpiece has been collected for hire or delivered, even if it not worn or your event is cancelled, there will be no refund available. The HIRE DURATION is THREE days, and the headpiece should be returned (either in person or via registered post or courier) on the next working day after the event date. If the headpiece is not returned within this period, a surcharge shall be incurred.

Where a headpiece has been booked for collection, an agreed time and day is arranged by appointment. Fittings and collections are strictly by appointment only.

Where a headpiece has been booked for delivery by An Post/Courier, we will not be liable for any delay or failure to deliver due to circumstances outside of its control or for any damage or injury caused by the misuse of the hat or caused to the hat during delivery or transit.

Your deposit will be refunded on the safe return of the headpiece (and hat box) provided it is returned within the Hire Duration and in the same condition that in which it was hired. In cases where the headpiece is not returned or there is damage to the headpiece (including but not limited to grease, make-up, tears, rain damage, or damage to or loss of embellishment) or if it is not returned within the hire duration, the refundable Security Deposit will be forfeited.

Care should be taken not to expose a hat/headpiece to the rain. In the case of rain, the hat should be kept under an umbrella at all times. The customer should not attempt to clean any hat themselves. If a headpiece is damaged beyond repair the customer will be obliged to pay the cost of replacement and the security deposit will be taken into account in calculating the balance payable. All hat boxes must be returned and in the same condition as when received. It is the responsibility of the hirer to return the hat by Registered post/Courier or in person. The hat box should be wrapped in protective packaging before attaching the shipping label. €10 of the Refundable Security Deposit will be forfeited if the Hat Box has been damaged. By asking for details of your event we will endeavour that no headpiece of similar shape/style is at the event you attend, but we cannot guarantee this.

HOW TO BOOK A HEADPIECE

Please feel free to contact us to arrange an appointment at the Studio to try on our collection at your leisure.

Alternatively, if you wish to book online, contact us HERE to check availability for the date of your choice. You can browse our Hat HireCollection on our website. In your enquiry, please provide the Unique Code/Name of the headpiece, the date of your event and whether you wish to collect the headpiece in person or require it to be posted. Your headpiece can be returned in person or by Registered post.

When booking a headpiece to be collected in person:- a payment link will be sent to you and the headpiece can be booked on payment of the relevant HIRE FEE for 3 day Hire Duration.

Booking a headpiece by Registered Post- If you require the headpiece to be sent by post, a payment link will be sent to you and the headpiece can be booked on payment of (1) the relevant HIRE FEE and the fee for posting.
